The Copo Commercial (shown below) is the ideal place to meet all your shopping needs. It has clothes shops, jewellers, boutiques, go-carting, cinema, Kids play area (beside the cenima) and McDonalds all under one roof! With plenty of places to keep the kids busy it is the perfect place for walking round at your leisure and seeing what bargains you can pick up.

During the off season all pools in apartment complexes are closed. The good news is that the neighbouring town of El Ejido (which is really the parent town of Almerimar) has just built a superb new indoor swimming pool. Known as "la piscina municipal de El Ejido". To get there drive up the hill from Velas Blancas to the Copo Shopping Centre. From there continue straight over the moterway into El Ejido. Continue straight and turn left at the third roundabout. Continue up this road for a couple of hundred yards and the Sports Ministry office is located on your left. Turn left here and you are now beside the pool. Time to the pool is about 5 minutes or less.
